Running is my sanctuary, the place I go to feel confident, beautiful, happy, and strong. I have lost running more than a few times in my life, but I have fought to get it back every single time. I have felt elated and accomplished and completely heartbroken by running. As athletes we train on the razor’s edge of too hard, too far, or just too much — but we love it so we keep going, we learn along the way.
This is my journey, striving to be better, to be my best. Like many of you I work full time, I’m stressed, I’m tired, I have way too many responsibilities – but I make time to do what I love. I started MyRunBum to inspire others in running. No matter how fast or how far you run, you are a runner. You are part of this community just by loving this sport. It’s for all of us, not just the elite.
I ran my first marathon in 2010 and have been hooked ever since. Whatever your goals are, a faster mile, finishing a 10K, conquering a marathon, or bringing home a BQ, or simply running for 10 minutes without being winded – you can get there. You got this.
